Stephen Keshi, the former Nigeria national football team captain and coach who died on Wednesday morning aged 54, had concrete offers from two PSL clubs, his agent, Tim Sukazi, has revealed.

“The Big Boss”, as Kes hi was referred to, suffered cardiac arrest while in Benin City, Nigeria. He’d become the subject of growing speculation that he would take over from Eric Tinkler at Orlando Pirates.

But Sukazi, while confirming that his client would have been keen to be in the hot seat at one of the biggest clubs on the African continent, insisted the Buccaneers had not approached Keshi for the job.

“We are saddened that we did not get to fulfil our ambitions and dreams for such a high calibre coach… Since Keshi joined us in May, we had been working tirelessly to get him a job and I can confirm that he was offered a role of a technical director at one club and a coaching role at another,” the agent said.

“There was no truth to reports in Nigeria that he was going to coach Pirates because that club had no coaching vacancy. But would Keshi have been interested? Absolutely. I was asked to be discreet by the interested clubs and even after his death, I will continue to do so … he was definitely going to be coaching in the PSL in the new season.”

Sukazi, who was in Monaco, France, last week on business also revealed that he was due to speak to Keshi on Wednesday – the day the former Togo national team coach died – to forge ahead with plans to secure his immediate future.

Keshi had been unattached since his contract with Nigeria was not renewed on June 2015.

“My parting shot was when we spoke just before I boarded a flight to Monaco on Thursday last week. I told him that we needed to chat when I get back to finalise everything,” said Sukazi

April 2016 was the day YBNL leader, Olamide signed the first ever female act to his label.Which also happen to be a LADOKITE. The signing came barely a week after his protege, Lil Kesh publicly parted ways with YBNL to set up his own YAGI Records.

With the signing, Temmie Ovwasa fondly called YBNL Princess began her journey to stardom.

In a recent interview with Punch, the Delta State born singer narrated how she was contacted by Olamide on social media.
In her words:-
‘I used to sing and record covers of different songs, which I post on Instagram. In August last year, I uploaded a particular video of a song and realised that Olamide had liked all my videos. People erroneously thought I tagged Olamide in the video but I have never believed in tagging celebrities to get recognition’.
She continued to say, ‘a few minutes later he sent me a direct message requesting for my phone number. At first, I thought it was a scam until I confirmed that it was indeed Olamide’s official Instagram account. I sent my number and we began talking. From the moment Olamide sent me a direct message, I knew something was going to happen; I am very intuitive. Getting signed on with YBNL Records is a blessing that gave me my big break’.

Asked if she’s in a relationship, "Temmie says, ‘am in a relationship with my guitar for now because it is supportive of my career and an indelible part of it . My dream man must be supportive of my music career and mature enough not to be threatened by my fame. He must also not see me as a competition and he must be grounded in God. I may date a musician if we both share similar values."

She said she thought it was a scam until she confirmed that it was indeed Olamide’s official Instagram account. "I sent my number and we began talking. From the moment Olamide sent me a direct message, I knew something was going to happen".

Two Women Docked For ‘Stealing’ Dead Man’s N119.8m Shares

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday June 27th, arraigned two women, Nneka Okechukwu, a former Head of Business development at Heritage Bank and Nkiru Celine Okoro, an ex-employee of C. N. Ukachukwu and Sons Ltd, at a Lagos High Court for allegedly stealing and selling a dead man’s shares worth N119, 798,253.61.
The prosecutor, Miss Elizabeth Oyedotun, told the presiding judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, that the duo committed the offences in 2013 in Lagos. “Sometime in 2013, the defendants dishonestly converted to their own use N63,028,785.32 million and N20,000,000 million, being proceeds of the sale of shares of blue chip companies, property of Ukachukwu.
In July 30, 2013, the defendants converted N33, 736,846 million to their own use being proceeds of sale of some units of shares of Nigerian Breweries (NB), property of the estate of the late Ukachukwu. Other shares from First Bank (N277, 000), UACN (140,789.59), United Bank for Africa (UBA) – N1, 453,657.75, Union Bank (N81, 186.04) and African Prudential Bank (N1, 079,988.91) were also allegedly converted by the duo”. Okechukwu is alleged to have “forged the Heritage Capital Markets Limited letter dated December 16, 2013 captioned “Renegotiated outstanding” addressed to the Executor/Justice P. C. Onumajulu (retd).” while Okoro, on her part allegedly forged several C. N. Ukachukwu and Sons Ltd board resolutions purporting them to have been signed by the firm’s managing director, two directors and herself as company secretary.
The suspects pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor urged the court to remand them in prison custody but the judge ruled that they should continue to enjoy the administrative bail granted them by EFCC. Ruling on the case comes up on Thursday June 30th.
